FO-232 - RS232 - optical fiber converter
The FO-232 modules provide a hardware interface between RS-232 and multimode optical fiber for a serial line.
The significant signals converted between electrical and optical formats are RxD and TxD. By cascading these modules, it is possible to implement a master-slave communication network (similar to RS485) over optical fiber.
