The electrical energy field, a domain of special importance, has known solid development in the direction of digitalizing the activities involving the generation, transport and distribution of electricity to consumers. The conditions imposed to the informatics systems from this operation area imply the existence of open structures, which can allow the distribution of their operation in functional nodes.
This is the reason why SC VIG IMPEX developed, over the many activity years, distributed structures of data acquisition, easy to use in various industrial domains.
These systems include functional modules, designed and developed within the company, which assure, among others, monitoring, recording, protection, and field communication features.
The main development is based on a hardware and software component family, designed and developed by SC VIG IMPEX, which include data processign central units, acquisition interfaces, field communication adapters, etc.
As an example, a monitoring, recording and protection structure is composed of:
- PDM-03XA (9 analog inputs, 16 digital inputs, flash memory)
- PDM-03XAF (16 analog inputs, 32 digital inputs, flash memory)
- PDM-03XAP (6 analog inputs, 16 digital inputs, flash memory, UPS)
- MUX-P (connects a maximum of 8 functional modules)

S.C. VIG IMPEX S.R.L. (VIG Craiova) expresses their availability to participate within research topics together with partners from the same field of activity. In this sense, VIG Craiova prepared and submitted to ANCS the self-evaluation report for 2005-2007 in accordance with the legal provision, necessary to certify the ability to carry out research and development activities.
