PDMWIN - Customized framework specific to PDM-03 type systems for data acquisition, monitoring,
and recording of electrical events
PDMWIN is a Windows compatible software suite for PDM-03 systems
including 3 sections:
recording analysis (view of waveforms and time evolution for acquired signals,
computing effective values, phase shifts, impendance, harmonics, fault distance);
recording management (various operations such as copy, delete, rename, etc.);
monitoring and control (configuring the PDM's modifying parameters,
voluntary trigger of recordings, input signal view).
PDMWIN main features:
monitoring a recording ensemble implemented using PDM-03 type units, connected to a computing system;
transfering recordings from PDM-type equipment to a computing system;
analog and binary quantity behaviour view over time;
analog quantity measurement (RMS values, phase shift angles relative to a reference quantity, spectral analysis);
three-phased computation regarding:
phase and ground impedances, reactances, and resistances;
active and reactive power;
direct, invers, and homopolar components of voltages and currents;
distance to the fault location;
establishing the operating mode of the monitored element
(load condition, no-load operation, loss of voltage, short-circuit condition, etc.);
transfer of analog quantities from various synchronously operating PDMs
to a fictitious PDM to enable three-phase calculations
previously described. With this feature, the busbar voltage in a substation
needs to be recorded only once by a PDM and is used for any feeder connected to that busbar;
easy configuration of the display mode for both monitoring and analysis programs;
recording management
control/programming of the disturbance recorders in the respective system;
