PROT-TEST power system simulator is a configurable simulation and testing structure
that enables the generation of a system of voltages and currents of 50 or 60 Hz frequency, with
controlled amplitudes and phase shifts. The frequency of the generated quantities is also controlled
within a +/-5 Hz range around the fundamental value.
The ensemble connects via a serial interface to a computing system-compatible
control module (afferent to the system structure), using dedicated software
to operate the kit's hardware resources.
Main technical features:
- supply voltage: 220V AC, 5 A maximum;
- main output/input quantities:
- 3 analog voltage-type outputs
(Ur, Us, Ut) with adjustable amplitude in the
0–100 V AC range (max. 0.5 A, 50/60Hz) and adjustable phase shift
in the 0–360° range, with a step of 1.8°;
- 3 AC analog output quantities (Ir, Is, It)
with amplitude adjustable in the 0–10 A AC/50Hz range
and phase shift adjustable in the 0–360 degree range,
with a step of 1.8 degrees;
- possibility of adjusting the frequency of the analog outputs
(U, I) within the 45–55Hz range, with a step of 0.05 Hz
(or 55–65Hz for a base frequency of 60Hz);
- independent and galvanically isolated analog output channels;
- at least 100W power on each analog output channel;
- 16 digital inputs (contact or voltage level types) for
monitoring the outputs of the protection relays under test;
- independent measurement of the generated quantities and, optionally,
their recording under preset operating conditions
(set voltage or current thresholds or state changes
for digital inputs);
- possibility of recording digital inputs
characterizing the operating mode of the protection relay under test;
- serial communication line and owner-developed data protocol,
available for connection to desktop or portable
computing equipment;
- software for real-time control of parameters for generated
electrical quantities, as well as their measurement,
display, and optional recording;
- possibility of analyzing recordings related to the operating
mode of the relay under test, including the display of the phasor diagram;
- the structure also includes the module for controlling the generated quantities,
visualizing their values, and analyzing test recordings; compatible to most of computing systems currently in use;
- monoblock construction with approximate overall dimensions of
350x450x480mm, max. weight of 20 kg.
